The Right Walk

Jesus Christ saved me. Enough said. Other than that, I love music, I play piano, little of guitar, badminton, wrestling, and I sing too!

Anger, Wrath, Fury, etc.

“My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for man’s anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.” James 1:19-20

So many times I get pissed. Maybe you guys have not noticed that, maybe you have. But so many times, I pour out and release unrighteous anger against my family, friends, and even God. I just cry out wondering what exactly is wrong with people around me and even more importantly, what is wrong with me. It’s a truly painful emotion and in my strong opinion, the deadliest one too.

“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”

The above Yoda quote (yup pretty nerdy, I know) holds very strong spiritual values as well. What do we do when we are afraid? We either run away and we defensively stand our ground. Thus anger is a defense mechanism. We are afraid of people better than us, more knowledgeable than us, and overall, we are just afraid of things that can harm us.

That brings me now to the main point I want to state here. What is true anger, if there is such a thing. True anger is God’s anger. God’s wrath is righteous and holy and He justly punishes the unjust. God is love, indeed, but His perfectness and holiness demands the judgment of sinners. Undoubtedly, we will all be before the Judgment Throne one day. Sinners and saints alike will be before the awe and wonder of their Creator. Everyone will be held accountable for all the wrong they have done.

What I am trying to say here is that we should keep a cool mind, heart, soul, and spirit. Even when things do not go our way or we make such careless mistakes that we want to break something, remember that anger is destructive and never constructive. This message not only is for Christians but also to nonbelievers as well. Do your best not to be angry and vent it using some nonlethal method. Cussing does not help, in my opinion, because it simply makes you amplifies your rage instead of toning it down. Try breathing deeply for 1 minute or simply sit still and meditate.

Thanks for reading and may God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be with you always. Amen. †

Reconciliation and Redemption

It’s been a blissful weekend and I thoroughly enjoyed Chinese New Year. My life has been good on the outside but painful in the inside. Spiritually, I’m barely hanging on by nothing more than gracious and continual support from my friends, family, and most importantly my church. There are times when I just felt like I could no longer consider myself Christian due to all the sinful mistakes I made, but time and time again I found myself being drawn more and more to Jesus Christ as a result of my weaknesses. I just want to point out that first off, it is most important to admit our own mistakes. Without realizing that we are wrong and have fallen short, we can never no matter how hard we try be able to become better. Sin and temptation are continuous chains of life which I wish I was able to escape. Nonetheless, I just wanted to share with everyone my personal thoughts and feelings. Hopefully, God willing I will become once again become a character as that of His Son Jesus Christ instead of chasing after my own selfish ambitions. I truly want to become an ordained pastor that can build up a radical generation for Christ. So please, continually pray for me. God bless+

Persevere

When you are down who do you call? Jesus!! Of course. He is the only way to heaven is he not? For no one is saved less he/she goes to the Father and no one goes to the Father except through His son Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Life is bothersome at times. So often, I felt the weight of the world crushing down on me. My spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental pressure is not exerting enough force on the pressure of the world (Lol Chemistry reference) None the less I still keep persevering. I have come this far in life already. Why stop now? Why stop now when there is still so much more God has planned? Even if I’m failing a class, getting dissed, being ignored, it does not matter because in the scheme of all things, these mean nothing in the face of an awesome and incomparable God. Keep in that in mind.

May God bless you dear reader in this week to come and may you enjoy Christmas not for its secular worth but for the truth. Remember those who are less fortunate daily in your prayers and keep praying for me too. Thanks! :D

Someday is not a day of the week

Ahh, so this is what Tumblr is all about. Seems pretty okay, more youth-oriented than say blogspot. First blog, don’t really know what to say. Where to start, where to start? Oh yes! School. What a fun topic to talk about. The teachers, the students, the campus, the boring subjects. But they are all for a purpose. No, it is far beyond just simple college or even careers in an ever expanding, fierce, and competitive environment. Yes, sometimes those late hours of studying and bsing homeworking may feel and seem like worthless and wasted moments of our precious lives but in the long run, there is bound to be a greater reward than our payload. Maybe we just need to stop procrastinating. I certainly know I do. Whatever goal you have, make sure it is the right path to follow.

Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Don’t get carried away by distractions and temptations. Stay focused and be a light to a world that seriously needs to know the truth. Hopefully I have enlightened you  in some way. Take care and God bless†
